So I organized my own Thanksgiving here! :D
We didn't have it thursday though because Jens wasn't home then. We had it on Black Friday instead. ;)
I didn't get a whole turkey though because that would have been too much work for me... So no stuffing (sorry again Andi for that :D ).
We had:
- Turkey Breast with peas and gravey
- Sweet mashed potatoes
- Potatoes and carrots cut into "sticks" and then thrown in the oven
- PUMPKIN PIE WITH WHIPPED CREAM <3
Though the cat nibbled on part of the pumpkin pie when we weren't looking... -.-
Afterwards Lena and I watched Batman Begins so all in all a fun evening. :)
As is traditional there are several people I want to thank for all their help and support.
Thank you to my family for being the awesome people that they are.
Thank you to my host family for being the greatest host family I could have ever dreamed of.
Thank you to my friends back home for your friendship and support.
Thank you to my email pals for keeping me from getting too homesick.
Thank you to my other danish exchange students and volunteers for a great time up here.
Thank you AFS and SAP for making this adventure possible.
And thank you turkey for being absolutely delicious. ;)
Now before I get any more sappy I should quickly apologize for not having any pictures of the dinner because a certain idiot (me) accidentally deleted them. However a friend I invited took some so I'll ask her to send them to me so I can upload one or two here later.
EDIT:
Here you go! The dinner!
Thank you Lena! ^^
